Two gay men were the victim of a homophobic attack early Saturday morning in a tram near Gesundbrunnen, leaving one with injuries and police looking for three suspects.
According to police, a woman asked one of the men shortly before the Bernauer Strasse stop on the M10 if he was homosexual. After he answered positively, the woman and two men punched him in the face. Before fleeing, they also hit the man with a bottle.
The three then fled from the tram. The victim had face injuries and complained of a headache while his life partner remained uninjured, according to the Berliner Polizei.
The police are investigating.
